Freeze and flush frozen fat cells with Coolsculpting

Coolsculpting is a new method for reducing fat in common areas such as the back, “love handles,” abdomen, arms and legs. The procedure is non-invasive, painless and simple.

By placing a gel pad and specialist applicator, practitioners are able to cool fat cells in the targeted area. This process is called cryolipolysis which stimulates the natural removal of fat cells. Targeted cells then metabolise within the body, without the need for liposuction. Over the following weeks, the frozen areas will reduce as the fat is processed.

How long does it take?

Depending on how many areas you’d wish to treat, treatment can last one to several hours. Time-frames will be discussed during consultations. If you require more than two hours, these sessions can be divided into several days or placed together in one sitting.

What are the side effects to Coolsculpting?

During Coolsculpting, you may experience pulling, tugging, pinching, numbness or discomfort. Following the procedure, side effects are minimal but include numbness, redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging or mild pain.

Can I return to normal activities after the procedure?

Coolsculpting does not require surgery, so typically you can return to normal activities straight away. Even though you may experience some temporary discomfort, this will subside quickly. Most patients return to work straight after the Coolsculpting session is over.

How long will it be before I see results?

Results tend to start becoming visible three weeks after your treatment but the most dramatic are seen at two months. However, your body will continue to flush out frozen fat cells for four to six months after treatment.
