Thermage
  • My skin is wrinkled
  • I want firmer skin
  • I have sagging skin

Thermage is a non-invasive skin tightening procedure. Instead of using chemicals, needles or lasers it uses a radio-frequency technology called Thermacool. Thermacool heats the dermis layer of the skin and the collagen that lies in the tissues underneath.

Thermage is a popular treatment, often used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles on the face by tightening the skin and making it appear smoother.

This is a non-invasive skin tightening procedure. Instead of using chemicals, needles or lasers it uses a radio-frequency technology called Thermacool.

Thermacool heats the dermis layer of the skin and the collagen that lies in the tissues underneath. After the radio-frequency technology is used to heat up the collagen in the skin, the body naturally reacts by contracting and thickening, boosting the production of more natural collagen. This process is named ‘denaturation’ and as a result the skin is tightened and the facial contours improved. The device that is used to apply the Thermage treatment is cooled before, during and after the procedure in order to protect the skin and to ensure utmost comfort for the patient. It requires no recovery time and is a quick, simple procedure.

Your surgeon or practitioner will apply anaesthetic in the form of a cream before the procedure. This is to make the Thermage treatment as comfortable as possible. It produces noticeable results and the appearance of the skin is dramatically improved, even after just one session.

It can take up to an hour to complete a single treatment. The total length of time needed for each procedure depends on the specific size and location of the area that is being treated.

Prices start at around £1,500.
