Celebrating the evening, organiser Antonia Mariconda (also on the website’s expert panel) said: ‘The #SafetyinBeauty campaign enables me to help the public through a structured and proactive channel.
‘It was launched in October 2013 in response to the growing dissatisfaction and devastation caused by dubious treatments. I formed the organisation alone but, with the support of a group of like-minded professionals and experts, it has grown to what it is today.’
The party also raised thousands of pounds in aid of The Katie Piper Foundation.
Model and presenter Katie Piper courageously rebuilt her life after she was the victim of a rape and acid attack.
The founder of the Foundation was recognised as an inspirational person at the #SafetyinBeauty awards ceremony last year, winning the People’s Choice Award – Most Inspirational Person Award.
