I first came across Dr Young via a colleague of mine who had had an implant 4 years ago. He couldn’t have recommended Dr Young more highly, so I didn’t hesitate in calling the practice directly and booking myself in for a consultation. The reason for the consultation was due to a crown that was beginning to fail on my front tooth. It had started to move over a period of time and looked awful and out of place. My own local dentist had tried to replace the crown but unfortunately the roots of the tooth had cracked and the crown was neither secure or viable long term. The only suitable alternative for me was an implant. My job in the hotel industry means that I spend a lot of time talking to people and it’s really important for me to look and feel confident. When I met Peter for the first time, I knew that I had come to the right place. He was very caring and took the time to explain to me at the consultation, and then in writing every stage of the treatment, and the amount of time it would take between treatments, stage by stage. I felt completely informed and confident that I was in the right hands and decided to proceed with the treatment straight away. Dr Young took his time – the treatment took approximately 9 months from start to finish but I was delighted with the way the treatment went, and that the surgery wasn’t at all painful. The whole team at Oral Implants are great – the nurses all appreciate how nervous you are feeling and were always there to provide support during the treatment. Every time I went they seemed genuinely pleased to see you and really cared about the progress I was making towards my new implant. It was a 54 mile round trip to the clinic from my house, but I would have gladly travelled 154 miles for the quality of treatment and the care I received. I too have since recommended Dr Young and his team to others -so if you are searching for the best person to place an implant – I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

I first came across Dr Young many years ago after I had experienced the traumatic failure of four implants after some treatment at the Dental Hospital. Losing my teeth had a terrible impact on me psychologically – I remembered when I was little my own Dad putting his dentures in a glass and I knew that I didn’t want that to happen to me. Dr Young had been recommended to me to help to find a positive solution to the problem which he did with a great deal of sensitivity and understanding – obtaining second opinions, reassuring me and standing up for me. In the end the problem was resolved, but I’m convinced that it wouldn’t have been without Dr Young’s persistence and support. I then felt confident enough for Dr Young to sort out the remaining problematic teeth, and I had several crowns placed by him. There are no words to express how grateful I am to Dr Young for the care and sensitivity he has shown to me over the years. Dr Young is very caring but he’s also a plain speaker and was always honest and open with me, and took the time to explain what was happening. I was really fearful that I would never be able to smile again, so I now think he genuinely gave me my life back and I can’t recommend him highly enough. I have already recommended him to a number of my friends, one of which is currently being treated by him at the moment.

Dr Peter Young was first recommended to me by a mutual friend Andrew a couple of years ago. I had been suffering from periodontal disease with bleeding gums and teeth coming loose in my upper jaw. I had actually been to see another dentist about same day teeth but on Andrew’s recommendation decided to go and see Peter for a second opinion. I’m so glad I did. I was immediately impressed by Peter’s level of professionalism. He took a great deal of detailed information about my general health- I suffer from asthma and I’m also diabetic which has a bearing on any treatment. He’s also very honest – he didn’t shy away from giving me the facts head on so I could make the right choice for me. I decided to go ahead with treatment with Peter and went ahead with the CT scans to establish whether I needed bone salts in my jaw prior to placing the implants to secure the denture. The whole treatment was across a number of different stages but I can honestly say that he never upset or hurt me – I actually fell asleep in the chair one day I was so relaxed. He also shows you what he’s doing in a mirror as he goes along if you are interested – which I was. He’s the absolute kingpin in ensuring that the upper secured dentures were absolutely perfect. They were matched identically in colour, size, bite and alignment to my lower teeth – created initially in wax by an expert in Manchester to ensure that I was 100% happy. And now the treatment is complete I am delighted with my new upper teeth denture which feels as solid as a rock. Two years ago I couldn’t bite a grape without worrying, but now I feel that I could bite the top off a coconut! I am over the moon with my treatment and I feel that my confidence has also had a big boost in that I can smile and eat anything without a second thought. When I meet people for the first time I don’t worry any more about what they think of my teeth, because I know they look and feel great. I have recommended Peter to a number of my friends and my wife is now a patient as well.
